Why does no one do anything about this crazy world we live in?
Climate change . . . we have done a lot of damage but Nature has helped. We have dumped plastics in the oceans, and Nature cannot cope with that.
Fossil fuels are not limitless, but solutions are not going to pop up quickly. The reliance on automobiles is growing, and new cars are being churned out by the thousand.
Social media is becoming ever more invasive and will youngsters know what it is to read a book? New gadgets are being invented more quickly and people have to have them, or so they think.
I don’t know what can be done, I really do not. Pray if you want, but I suspect the Deity of Choice will be listening to the whoosh of Space Debris and you won’t get an answer.
Who says that no one does anything about that crazy world? What gives you the idea that nothing is done? People who care about the environment constantly lobby for appropriate measures, or try to attract attention by doing things that gets them noticed, such as blocking access to oil refineries, or forming human barriers to prevent woods from being chopped down.
In Europe, folks are more aware than ever regarding the need to recycle, because people decided to do something about that.
Things happen inmother areas, as well. Just recently, children in the U.S.A. protested in front of the White House, to get better regulations that prevent such mass killings.
Despite not being ‘newsworthy’ enough to get air time, the fight against terrorists continues, every day.
There is no way that one big change will suddenly make everything right. It takes lots and lots of small changes to get there. And those *are* happening!
To put it simply, nobody can. Not only are there over 8 billion people living all over the entire planet, speaking in far too many languages for any one individual to memorize, but those 8 billion people also have way different individual beliefs and values that nobody can force them to change or reject in a single lifetime.
Most terrorists do what they do because they believe really strongly in what they do, and no one can make them believe any different. Same goes to most racists, feminists and other people who have a powerful faith and attachment to their beliefs.
To get the world to be “less crazy”, you’d literally have to forcefully change the beliefs and values of probably at least a solid fourth of all the human beings still around. Which is literally impossible in every sense of the word.
I used to think that no one cared. That rich people were way too elevated in our society to even think about what poor people go through daily. Once in a while, someone does something unselfish. If you haven’t heard of this man yet, I encourage you to see what he has done with his time and resources. He cares about the future of our planet. Elon Musk is today’s hero.
All those people tried to do something to change this crazy world that we live in and make them into a better place. All they really managed to do was kill a lot of people and get their situation from bad to worse in the long run.
Real change for the better is always gradual. It’s so slow that we think that things are always the same, because our lives is always the same, even when humanity has been steadily improving over the last millennia.
I'm not talking about Russia in my music. I've never been to Russia. I'm not talking about Africa, Switzerland, China. I'm talking about me being American and growing up in a crazy world and helping to reflect all different sides of life.
When you have a daughter, you want to protect her from the things that I've seen out there, you know, the things that's out there that ain't good for her. It's a crazy world we live in.
In this crazy, crazy world of figure skating, it is easy to focus on a name or a target. But when you are going after someone, it really only holds you back from what you are capable of yourself.
I take pride in how great my relationship is with Chris, but having said that, of course, in this crazy world where he's off doing movies and I'm in L.A. raising our child, of course I'm going to feel vulnerable, like any normal human would.

Meditation is key. It's a crazy world we live in. Everything is happening so fast in our world, so to take a moment and clear the mind and just be totally present is so healing. I want to meditate more.
